The “Mój Prąd” program has been one of the pillars of support for prosumers in Poland for years, enabling co-financing of photovoltaic micro-installations and energy storage facilities. Due to the huge interest in the 6.0 edition, the Ministry of Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management decided to extend the application deadline until December 20, 2024. Moreover, the program budget increased from PLN 400 million to PLN 1.25 billion, thanks to funds from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment (FEnIKS).
What is the My Current 6.0 program?
Mój Prąd 6.0 is the latest version of the government program supporting investments in renewable energy sources. Its main goal is to promote prosumer energy, i.e. energy production for one's own needs with the possibility of selling surpluses to the grid. From September 2024, applications for funding can be submitted, among others, for:
- Photovoltaic micro-installations (up to PLN 7,000 with energy storage or up to PLN 6,000 without storage),
- Electricity storage (up to PLN 16,000),
-
Heat storage (up to PLN 5,000)
Who can benefit?
The program is aimed at prosumers who have invested in renewable energy installations after January 1, 2021 and are billed in the net-billing system. This is a modern billing model that rewards the efficient use of produced energy.
New financing conditions in 2024

Why is it worth using?
The benefits of participating in the “Mój Prąd 6.0” program are multidimensional. Firstly, subsidies allow for significant reduction of investment costs. Secondly, energy storage facilities increase self-consumption of energy, which translates into lower electricity bills. Additionally, using renewable energy sources is one of the key steps towards environmental protection and reducing CO₂ emissions.
How to apply?
The application process is simple and takes place online. The applicant must provide documentation confirming the costs incurred and the fact of net-billing. As of October 9, 2024, over 49,000 applications have already been submitted, which shows the huge interest and need for quick action.
The extension of the “Mój Prąd 6.0” program and the increase in its budget are an excellent opportunity for those planning to invest in renewable energy sources. Thanks to attractive subsidies and flexible financing conditions, more and more Poles are deciding to take a step towards energy independence. If you want to take advantage of the program, do not delay - funds are limited!
