Szersze grono beneficjentów Mój Prąd – sprawdź, czy Ty też możesz skorzystać z dofinansowania!

A wider group of Mój Prąd beneficiaries – check if you can also benefit from the funding!

The Mój Prąd (My Electricity) program has been supporting the development of the Polish energy sector since 2019. In the first two editions, in which it was possible to receive up to PLN 5,000 in funding, almost 267,000 applications were submitted. The third edition, expanded to include subsidies for energy storage and intelligent energy management systems, gathered almost 180,000 interested parties. In the fourth edition, in which the amounts of funding were increased, there were about 60,000 beneficiaries. My Electricity 5.0 is currently underway, which is also enjoying considerable popularity. Interestingly, there may be even more interested parties. All due to a significant change in the terms of the program! Who will be able to benefit from government aid?

Recruitment for the new edition of the Mój Prąd program started in April this year. Funding can be obtained for the installation of a home photovoltaic installation and additional elements, i.e. electricity storage, heat storage, energy management systems, heat pumps and solar collectors. Until now, the beneficiary could be a person who had not previously used any subsidy for the purchase and installation of a photovoltaic micro-installation and declared settlement in the net-billing system, as well as any beneficiary of a selected previous edition of the program who wants to expand their installation with additional elements. Beneficiaries of other projects could not use the program. Today it is different. Recently, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) introduced changes to the conditions for granting subsidies.

What's new in My Current 5.0?

As of October 20, more people can apply for funding under the Mój Prąd program. The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has expanded the group of potential beneficiaries to include owners of single-family houses who have previously received a subsidy for the purchase and installation of a photovoltaic micro-installation from another program financed from national or EU funds – i.e. the Czyste Powietrze program or programs organized by specific Municipalities.

Beneficiaries of other programmes may apply for subsidies for additional devices, i.e. heat storage units, energy storage units, heat pumps, EMS/HEMS systems or solar collectors.

The rules for granting subsidies are the same as for other beneficiaries

The condition for applying for the subsidy is still settlement in the net-billing system. Applicants who continue to use net-metering must declare their transition to the new system.

The amount of funding remains the same, i.e. up to 50% of eligible costs, not more than:

  • heat storage: PLN 5,000,
  • ground heat pump: PLN 28,500,
  • air/water heat pump with increased energy class: PLN 19,400,
  • air/water heat pump: PLN 12,600,
  • air/air heat pump: PLN 4,400,
  • energy storage: PLN 16,000,
  • energy management system: PLN 3,000,
  • solar collector for domestic hot water: PLN 3,500.

The larger the scale of the investment, the higher the subsidy. The beneficiary of the fifth edition of the program can receive up to PLN 58,000 in subsidy. That's not a small amount!

There is no shortage of interested people

According to the latest data, over 85 thousand applications have already been submitted in the fifth edition of the Mój Prąd program (as of 16.10.2023), for a total amount of almost PLN 629 million. This is almost 2/3 of the planned budget (PLN 950 million). Over PLN 321 million remains to be distributed. The application process is to last until December 22 this year or until the pool of funds is exhausted.

A good time to invest in an energy storage facility

There has been a lot of talk recently about the importance of energy storage. A storage facility with the right capacity allows you to increase your self-consumption of energy, become more independent from external suppliers, and ensure a stable and secure energy future. This is particularly important today – in an era of low and negative rates on the energy market. The key is to choose a good storage facility.

Miellec is a low-voltage storage with a capacity of 5 to 20 kWh, equipped with the safest lithium-phosphor cells, compatible with a wide range of inverters. Choose your energy storage - focus on energy security!
